Bajaj’s small car to be priced lower than Nano
20th July 2011
Renault & Nissan that are working in alliance with Bajaj to develop the ultra low cost project recently revealed the fact that the final product could well be priced below the Nano.
Carlos Ghosn, CEO, Renault & Nissan recently said that the company is looking at launching products that are priced below and above the Nano. In fact, the company is expecting to launch the product by 2012.
Analysts believe that Nano will retain its first mover advantage keeping in mind the fact that it is an iconic product in itself. Clearly, Ghosn has himself learned many things from the Nano as the company has taken the strengths of the product to be incorporated into its products. Ghosn further defended its multi-player strategy tagging India as a complicated market where a newcomer has to learn a lot to be successful in the business.
Moreover, the company may also launch a trimmed version of the Logan which has been going through a rough phase as far as unit sales are concerned. Ghosn on his latest visit has ruled out the possibility of ending the JV with Mahindra & Mahindra.
Japanese carmaker Nissan has announced that the new Leaf electric car of the company will cost less than 30,000 Euros to its customers. Nissan has been in news for a long time for its new electric car. This is expected to hit the small car segment soon.
There were lots of rumor regarding the price of this electric car. But finally the company has confirmed that car will be available fewer than 37,105 dollars after various government incentives.
The main features of this car will be its zero emission and eco-friendly effect. The company has claimed that it’s world’s first mass-produced electric vehicle with zero emissions. The Leaf will be an environmentally friendly, affordable, family car which price is even very low.
Nissan has also informed that in the month of December, the car will hit the market. It will be sold in Portugal and the Netherlands. In February 2011, it is expected to arrive at the Britain and Ireland markets. The company has said that the reservations for this car will be started in July itself.
Nissan GT-R named Car of the Year
17th November 2008
Nissan has hit a major home run with its latest Skyline, known as the GT-R here in the States. In fact, the car was knocked so far out of the park that it seems an obvious choice for anyone’s Car of the Year. Nissan’s latest supercar boasts enough performance to take on the best from the rest of the world regardless of price, making it an amazing value despite costing upwards of $80,000. As such, the new GT-R has been awarded the Car of the Year trophy from Automobile Mag. Who are we to argue?
